A gratitude letter for my sister Viviane…

Vivi,

Thank you for being my wonderful sister! You have always been the artistic one in the family and I admire you so much. Thank you for being so talented, so funny, fun, and the life of any party. You have always been the one who made us laugh and the one who cracked a joke. I am so grateful to have you in my life. Thank you for being so kind, generous, helpful, and loving.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be an aunt to Helena and Pedro. Even though I do not know Pedro in person yet, I love him so much. Thank you for always taking such great care of me when I am in Brazil. Thank you for always being around and for always making time to be with me when I am there. I have so much fun with you and I am so grateful we can talk about anything. Thank you for giving me great advice and for making me see myself as beautiful and powerful. I remember that one time we went shopping at Park Shopping and you told me I was beautiful and I should never be ashamed to show it. I will never forget that day. Funny how I always think about it. Thank you for helping me build my confidence up after my divorce. You have no idea how much you helped me.

Thank you for always answering the phone, even when it is super late. Thanks for always listening and offering your loving ears and giving great advice. Thank you for being a fighter. I admire your resolve and your determination to be the best mom and wife you can be. You are an example and I am so lucky to have you in my life. I miss you so much and I wish we could be together. I know we will spend a lot of time together sooner than later. In the meantime know that I am always thinking of you and loving you every single day.

With all my love and gratitude,

Simone
