A gratitude letter for my friend Ish..
Ish,
From the first day we met I knew we would be best buds. I am so grateful to have you in my life. You were not only an amazing co-worker but you are my brother from another mother. Thank you for being fun, funny, smart, quick, witty, kind, generous and so, so special.
I remember when we met in October of 2015 when we both started working at AT&T. We talked for a second and figured out you had lived in my hometown of Brasilia and you spoke Portuguese. That was awesome! Then, for me, I liked it even better because you spoke Franch and I could practice it with you. Thank you for being my amazing friend and for being the Robin to my Batman. We were the perfect duo at work. I am beyond grateful we connected so well. From co-workers we became best friends and now I cannot imagine my life without you. Thank you for always being there for me. You have seen me smile, shout, cry, and in need. You have known me more than a lot of people have. I am grateful our paths have crossed.
My deepest gratitude for your friendship and for always being by my side. Thank you for introducing me to Senegalese food and culture. I love it all. Thank you for having me at your house and for introducing me to your family. I had an amazing time and I learned so much. I love your culture and I want to learn more and more. Thanks to your wife Cumba for cooking the traditional Senegalese food, Thiebou Dieunn, which I loved SO much.
Thank you for being my brother, my friend, my rock. I cannot put into words how much I appreciate and love you.
With all my love and gratitude,
Simone
