A gratitude letter for Greg Fountain…
Dear Greg,
Thank you for being one of the coolest people I have ever met. From the day I met you at Cartoon Network I knew we had a special connection. You were a guy from a small town in Georgia and I was from another country still trying to learn the American way of life. I remember you asked me some interesting questions about Brazil and I thought you were kidding. You were not! Those questions always made me laugh and with that we learned a lot.
Thank you for receiving me with open arms into the department and for becoming one of my closest friends at that time. I remember I used to love stopping by your office to chat. You had so many stories, comic books and an incredible wall of art where a lot of the cartoon creators had drew their characters on it. I will never forget the day you left Cartoon Network and took the wall with you. Only Greg Fountain would do that.
I admire you so much! I always loved your candor, authenticity and honesty. You have shared so much of your life, including the good and the bad. Thank you for being you. Thank you for helping me through my tough times and for always checking on me. Even though we do not talk as much today, you are always on my mind. I am here always rooting for you. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, creativity and non-afraid way of living with me.
